- Same-latitude / same-longitude cities — pick a place and the map highlights cities on its parallel (similar climate) or meridian (similar time zone), with their country and population.
- Year-by-year history — drag the timeline to see which power ruled that land from antiquity to today; China proper is year-precise and shows the ruler of the year and the contemporary place name.
- People & events of the year — notable people born/died at that place in the selected year, plus world events that year; names link to Wikipedia / Baidu Baike.
- Geography & society — climate type, mean temperature and precipitation, country population, languages, capital, visa-free developed countries, GDP per capita and world rank.
- Multiple base maps — ESRI satellite, OpenFreeMap streets, terrain, and a 3D globe; one-click English / Chinese.
How to use
- Click
⊕(bottom-left) to enter pick mode, then click anywhere on the map; or use the search box (top-right). - The right panel shows coordinates, climate, country data and same-latitude / same-longitude cities.
- Open the History tab and drag the timeline for year-by-year history.

What are same-latitude / same-longitude cities?
Same-latitude cities sit on the same horizontal line and share a similar climate; same-longitude cities sit on the same vertical line and share a time zone.
How do I see which power ruled a place in a year?
Click the place → History tab → drag the timeline. China proper is year-precise and shows the ruler and contemporary place name.
